Welcome to Furious Green Ideas.

We are currently on the road, taking on a 4500 km cycle tour from London to Istanbul. On the way we will be writing about all things cycling – from our experiences on the road to the cycle culture of the countries and cities we pass though.

Our aim for the trip, as well as having a nice long holiday, is to document the work and ideas of cycling activists across Europe in the 14 countries we will pass through. In some of these places the cycling revolution has already begun, and in others like our own we are sure it is just around the corner.

Where possible we will be using the new EuroVelo network, a project which links locally existing cycle routes into a vast network which will eventually connect Europe from Galway to Moscow and from the North Cape to Tarifa.
